Ibara Railway
This third-sector railway was opened in 1999. It runs parallel but inland to the Sanyo shinkansen from Kannabe (Hiroshima prefecture) on JR West’s Fukuen line to Kyone (Okayama prefecture), continuing for 3·4 km over JR West’s Hakubi line to Soja for connection to the Kibi Line.
