Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART)
Work on the 69 km initial segment between San Rafael and Sonoma County Airport began in late 2011, with services beginning on August 25 2017 serving 10 stations. A 3·5 km extension from San Rafael to Larkspur for ferry connections opened on December 14 2019.
