COLOMBIA: The UT Movilidad Urbana Sostenible consortium has been awarded a contract to undertake the detailed design of Bogotá metro Line 2.
Led by Systra, the consortium includes Garrigues Colombia, Brigard & Urrutia Abogados, KPMG Advisory Tax & Legal, BONUS Banca de Inversión and Ingetec Ingeniería y Diseños.
Envisaged as a fully automated line with unattended train operation, Line 2 will run for 15·8 km, with 11 stations serving Chapinero, Barrios Unidos, Engativá and Suba. The alignment includes 13·5 km underground and 400 m elevated, with the remainder at grade.
