BELARUS: Russian manufacturer Metrowagonmash has been awarded a contract to supply seven four-car Moskva trainsets for the second phase of Minsk Metro’s Zelenoluzhskaya Line.
The 81-765/766/767 cars will be equipped for GoA3 automation.
The 4 km extension from Kaval’skaya Slabada to Sluckі Gascіnec with three stations is expected to open in early 2024.
The 3·5 km initial section of the Zelenoluzhskaya Line opened in November 2020. It is operated using six four-car M110/M111 trainsets supplied from Stadler’s Fanipol plant. However, the Swiss manufacturer relocated production activities from Belarus when sanctions were imposed as a result of the Belarusian government’s support for the Russian war against Ukraine.
