The contract, which was announced on February 21, runs until 2027 and is worth €43·6m. It covers preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, balanced overhauls, safety inspections and train cleaning.
The latest contract comes on top of SHBRT’s existing maintenance contract for 246 metro cars used on Line 12, which it won in 2016.
Opened in December 2013, Line 12 is currently 40 km long. A western extension totalling 17·7 km is planned.
