DENMARK: Arriva Denmark has ordered 21 Citeas SLFA-180 Electric buses from VDL Bus & Coach for use in København.
The 18 m long articulated vehicles will replace the 13·7 m long buses currently serving Route 2A from December 2019.
VDL will also supply the charging infrastructure. In addition to plug-in depot charging, the batteries will also be charged using an inverted pantograph at rapid charging stations at the termini. This would allow Route 2A to operate 24 h a day.
