UKRAINE: The first six of 30 ex-Berlin Tatra KT4D trams that Lviv is purchasing from BVG arrived in the city in late July.
Deliveries are due to be completed in October. The total cost of the second-hand trams is €800 000, which is cheaper than one new Elektron tram.
The 1 435 mm gauge trams were overhauled in Berlin, and will be fitted with metre gauge bogies in Lviv. These are being taken from older KT4SU trams which are out of use.
