RUSSIA: Trading company Fobos-TS has won a 78m rouble contract to supply four trams to Novocherkassk. Deliveries are due by the end of September.
The vehicles are likely to be made by Uraltransmash. Earlier this month Fobos-TS signed a contract to supply 20 UTM trams to Kazan.
Novocherkassk municipality had signed a contract with Elektrotransport in 2017 for the supply of five Type 71-407 trams made by UTM, but only two of these were delivered, with the remainder cancelled.
The municipality is currently negotiating with Moscow tram operator Mosgortrans for the transfer of 10 second-hand trams.
