POLAND: Bochum-Gelsenkirchen tram operator Bogestra submitted the only bid in a tender to supply trams to MPK Łódź.
Bogestra is to supply 32 NF6D partly low-floor trams for €3·2m. Deliveries are due by 2020, and there are options for two more trams.
MPK previously purchased one NF6D tram from Bogestra and tested it on the metre-gauge network. The trams will be refurbished, with the installation of direct doors to driver’s cabs, air-conditioning in driver’s cabs, wider window opening in the passenger saloon and wheelchair ramps at the doors.
