CZECH REPUBLIC: Praha city transport operator DPHMP has awarded Škoda Transportation a KC14·6bn contract to continue to service and maintain its Type 81-71M five-car metro trainsets for a further 15 years from the end of the current 10-year contract on December 31 2020.
DPHMP operates a total of 93 Soviet-built trainsets which were heavily modernised by Škoda in 1996–2011. Of these, 41 operate on Line A and 52 on Line B.
