GERMANY: Berlin transport operator BVG has ordered 15 Solaris Urbino 12 electric buses. The 12 m long vehicles are due to arrive in 2019, when they will join the five already in operation.
The buses will have axles with integrated traction motors and Solaris High Energy batteries with a total capacity of 240 kWh. These will be charged using plug-in charging at the depot.
Passenger capacity will be 65, including 28 seated. The vehicles will be equipped with air-conditioning and 10 double USB sockets.
