GERMANY: Solaris is to supply 10 electric buses to Hamburg public transport operator Hochbahn, the company announced on May 24.
Two of the Urbino 12 vehicles are due to be delivered later this year, with the remaining eight to come in September 2019.
The buses will have capacity for 70 passengers, including 25 seated, and will have internal and external LED lighting. The 240 kWh battery packs will be recharged at the depot using plug-in chargers.
The Senate of Hamburg has decided that all buses bought by local carriers from 2020 are to be zero-emission.
