CHINA: Bombardier Transportation announced on December 18 that its CRRC Puzhen Bombardier Transportation Systems joint venture had been selected to build two monorail lines in Wuhu and supply 240 cars.
The 50:50 joint venture between Bombardier Transportation and CRRC Nanjing Puzhen would supply Innovia Monorail 300 rolling stock under the 1·8bn yuan contract, covering two lines that are planned to open in 2020.
Line 1 would be 30·3 km long with 24 stations, operated with a fleet of 28 six-car trainsets. The first phase of Line 2 would serve 12 stations on a 16·5 km alignment using 18 four-car trainsets.
