GERMANY: The VDEI association of German railway engineers has announced that Frank Sennhenn, Chairman of the management board of infrastructure manager DB Netz, will officially open the 28th IAF international exhibition of track technology in Münster on May 31 and give the keynote speech.
‘We welcome a high-ranking representative of Deutsche Bahn who, as Chairman of the board, is responsible for infrastructure and its operation’, said VDEI President Thomas Mainka. ‘We welcome the great appreciation for IAF expressed in this way.’
Around 115 exhibitors have registered for IAF, and the outdoor area as well as the tracks are almost fully booked. There are still free stands available in the halls.
Rail industry professionals can register to attend free of charge via the website www.iaf-messe.com.
The event from May 31 to June 2 will be held in accordance with applicable coronavirus regulations, with personalised visitor passes and online storage of vaccination, testing and recovery status to speed up checks when entering the exhibition grounds.
A test centre will be set up in the north hall, where people who do not have a current certificate can be tested and given access to the exhibition grounds with a negative result. This will also allow visitors from outside the European Union who have been vaccinated with a vaccine not approved in the EU, and are therefore considered unvaccinated, to visit the fair.
