ON FEBRUARY 3 Buenos Aires metro construction authority SBASE formally opened the bids to supply rolling stock for Line H. It is now considering the technical content of the bids, with the financial offers to be considered at a later date.
Bids have been received from Alstom and a consortium of Citic International Co-operation Co Ltd and Changchun Railway Vehicles Co Ltd of China.
SBASE has called tenders for tracklaying on 500m at the southern end of Line H, connecting the route to the Colonia rolling stock maintenance depot. Bids have also been invited for tracklaying on the Line A extension from Primera Junta to Plaza Flores.
