ON APRIL 15 German Railway ran an introductory special train between Stuttgart and Horb to demonstrate the ICT tilting EMUs. Five of these will be allocated to inter-city services on the Stuttgart - Zürich corridor from the end of this month.
With effect from the May 30 timetable change, ICTs will replace loco-hauled inter-city trainsets on the Zürich run. From the autumn timetable they are also expected to take over the Dresden - Frankfurt - Saarbrücken and Berlin - Leipzig - Nürnberg - München corridors, and later Düsseldorf - Kassel - Weimar.
DB is taking delivery of 32 seven-car sets designated Class ET411 and 11 five-car ET415s, and has an option for up to 40 more. The driving cars are coming from DWA G
