HARSCO Corp announced on September 4 that it had acquired Zeta-Tech Associates for an undisclosed price. The technical services and asset maintenance planning specialist will form an independent unit within Harsco Track Technologies.
Based at Cherry Hill in New Jersey, Zeta-Tech produces a range of proprietary software tools for asset monitoring and management including SmartGrind, RailTest for ultrasonic testing, RailLife and TieLife, and a range of PDA inspection tools. The company has customers in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, and 2006 revenues totalled just under $4m.
