Tram driving National Occupational Standards to be reviewed

UK: Industry group UKTram is leading a project to review the existing Tram Driver National Occupational Standards. The tram driver standards were last updated in 2005, and the review is scheduled to be completed by June.

NOS set out the skills, knowledge and understanding required to undertake a particular task or job role to a nationally recognised level of competence. They are designed to help formalise training requirements for employers and employees, and to support human resources functions such as induction programmes and the development of job descriptions and advertisements.
