FRANCE: Société du Grand Paris announced the selection of a consortium of Nokia and ENGIE Solutions to design and install an LTE private wireless network for lines 15, 16 and 17 of the Grand Paris Express metro, on March 12.
The project covers all 200 km and 86 metro stations of the upcoming automated lines as well as the line’s rolling stock.
Nokia’s LTE system will handle high-speed wireless connectivity services for operational, maintenance, emergency and security requirements, including voice, data and video services.
ENGIE Solutions will provide rail infrastructure specific design and construction expertise, and manage studies purchasing, construction, testing and commissioning.
