UKRAINE: Deputy Mayor of Kyiv Mykola Povoroznyk has signed a memorandum of co-operation for studies into the construction of a fourth metro line, the city council announced on May 19.
A consortium of China Railway International Group and China Pacific Construction Group will carry out feasibility studies and cost estimates for the 16 km route, and would act as construction contractor should the project. The consortium would also assist the Ukrainian government in raising funds from Chinese financial institutions.
