BRAZIL: A short extension of São Paulo metro Line 5 opened on March 2. The new 2·9 km section runs northeast from Brooklin to Eucaliptos.
An intermediate station is due to open at Campo Bello to provide interchange with Line 17, which is scheduled to open next year.
Line 5 is due to be extended by a further 5·5 km east from Eucaliptos to Chácara.
