GERMANY: Moveo Software has provided a temporary update for the duty registration system used by München transport operator MVB, enabling drivers to sign into work using mobile devices from their vehicle instead of a using web-based terminal in a shared staff room.
‘Usually, many drivers meet in this room during the change of duty, a situation that we wanted to change as quickly as possible due to the current risk of infection with Covid-19 and the applicable distancing rules’, explained Andreas Pass, MVB’s head of Driving & Duty Planning. ‘Therefore, we asked Moveo for a quick alternative.’
Within a few hours of the request, PSI Transcom subsidiary Moveo was able to provide apps for Android and iOS devices, which also enable company documents, private messages and duty rosters to be displayed.
‘Because of the quick and uncomplicated help from Moveo, the new work instructions could be implemented without delay and we were able to quickly implement an additional valuable measure to protect our employees’, said Pass.
