SPAIN: Software for managing railway infrastructure maintenance activities in Mallorca and generating information to support a move towards predictive maintenance has been developed and deployed by contractor Azvi, technology start up MainRail Solutions, the CEIT technology institute and software specialist Inycom.
The MainRail software is used to record inspection information, and automates analysis to enable a faster and better optimised response in order to reduce maintenance costs, increase the quality of work and extend the useful life of assets. It also enables person-to-person interactions to be reduced during the coronavirus pandemic, with maintenance teams able to carry out all their work on site without having to go to a central hub to submit or collect work orders.
CEIT and Inycom have formed a partnership to continue to develop the technology and to sell it both in the Spanish market and abroad.
