DENMARK: Infrastructure manager Banedanmark has awarded Teleste a framework contract for the supply of up to 4 500 outdoor TFT LCD displays as part of work to enhance passenger information provision at stations.
The contract runs for five years, with an option for a further three. The Finnish manufacturer said the screens would offer high levels of readability, and an expected life of more than 10 years. The contract includes repairs, which would be facilitated though the use of real-time remote diagnostics to enable preventive maintenance and quick reactions to any hardware failures.
‘Combined with our previous experience of the Danish railway market, our carefully designed technologies create a firm stepping stone for successful implementation’, said Jörn Grasse, Vice President of Rail Information Solutions for Teleste.
