SWEDEN: Leasing company AB Transitio has awarded Bombardier Transportation a SKr280m five-year contract for the heavy maintenance and refurbishment of 54 two-car and five three-car Regina regional electric multiple-units.
Pre-series refurbishment of the first of the EMUs is expected to be completed by mid-2020, with the rest following by mid-2024.
The work will include repainting, new carpets, seat refurbishment, revised interior lighting, fitting new headlights and the installation of an additional pantograph and control equipment.
