RUSSIA: RM Rail has obtained certification for two designs of flat wagon designed for heavy loads and a service life of 32 years.
The Type 13-1258 wagon is designed for transporting wheeled and heavy crawler vehicles, steel structures, heavy containers, tank containers for dangerous goods of up to 36 tonnes gross weight, as well as loose, bulk and timber cargoes that do not require protection. Instead of conventional rolled sections, the frames are formed from welded carrier beams which reduce the tare weight and thus increase the load capacity to 72 tonnes.
The Type 13-1258-01 is intended for containers of up to 36 tonnes gross weight. It has four stationary and twelve hinged corner fittings, as well as tying braces and shock absorbers for the transport of tank containers.
