GUINEA: CRRC Qishuyan has begun delivering eight DF8B twin-cab diesel locomotives and six CDA5A1 single-cab locomotives which the SMB-Winning bauxite mining consortium ordered in two batches in November and December last year.
The locomotives will be used on a 125 km line from the Santou mine to the River Nunez port of Dapilon near Kolabouio.
Construction of the railway began in March 2019, and it is scheduled to open in June 2021. The main contractors are China Railway 14th Bureau Group and China Railway 18th Bureau Group.
