Uralvagonzavod TMV-2 road-rail shunter.

BELARUS: A scrap metal processing company has taken delivery of a TMV-2 road-rail shunter developed by Russian manufacturer Uralvagonzavod. The contract includes commissioning, staff training and maintenance.

UVZ has developed the TMV-2 as part of a policy of diversifying its range and with the aim of producing equipment which at least matches the technical standards of foreign equivalents. The shunter has been developed independently, rather than from an existing road vehicle, and has been approved for use on public roads.

UVZ has supplied nine similar machines to Russian Railways for use in depots, as well as four to Azerbaijan and two to Kazakhstan.
