CZECH REPUBLIC: DP Ostrava took delivery of its first Stadler tram on April 23. The two-section vehicle was transported by road from Stadler’s Siedlce factory in Poland.
The SFr45m framework contract for up to 40 vehicles is the first order for trams in Stadler Polska’s history. Designated Tango NF2 nOVA, the fully low-floor unidirectional tram is planned to enter passenger service in August. Deliveries of the base order of 30 trams are due to be completed in July 2019.
The tram is 24·9 m long, 2 500 mm wide and 3·6 m high with capacity for 188 passengers, including 61 seated. Maximum speed is 80 km/h. The vehicles are equipped with USB sockets and have provision for wi-fi. Vossloh Kiepe is supplying two air-conditioners per tram, traction motors are coming from TSA, pantographs from EC Engineering and CVG Group subsidiary CIEB is supplying the seats.
